Follower Cases

The follower cases refer to local or regional authorities or civil society organisations that are located in 4 additional rural areas and will adopt the INSPIRE Replication Handbook toward the end of the project. They will ensure post-project exploitation and uptake of selected project results (according to local needs), acting as multipliers across rural Europe. In this regard, the follower cases will accelerate the transition to Smart Villages across rural, coastal and mountainous Europe.

The follower cases will be identified through interactions with the Network of Interest, network of relevant initiatives, a dedicated Open call, and the network of project partners. They are expected to be identified and selected by March 2027.
