INSPIRE featured at the 21st ERDN Conference in Bucharest, Romania

On 22 September 2025, the INSPIRE project was presented at the 21st European Rural Development Network (ERDN) Conference in Bucharest, during a session on governance innovation, rural resilience, and inclusive development.

Delivered by Adam Wasilewski (ERDN), the presentation introduced INSPIRE’s approach to co-creating Smart Village Labs that foster social inclusion and innovation in rural areas.

Key highlights included:

  • INSPIRE’s theoretical framework and territorial typology of rural exclusion.

  • the Polish pilot in Parczew showcasing local strengths and challenges, such as unemployment and healthcare access.

  • tools like the upcoming Atlas of Social Economy Services, the Rural Social Inclusion Policy Dashboard, and the MOOCs for capacity building.

The presentation received positive feedback, particularly for its practical relevance to EU policy priorities, including the Rural Pact, the Green Deal, and the Social Economy Action Plan. It also set the stage for INSPIRE’s Clustering Event on 26 September, encouraging future collaboration with other Horizon Europe projects and members of the INSPIRE Network of Interest.
