Laying the groundwork for action: INSPIRE completes territorial profiling of pilot areas in France, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Romania and Slovakia

INSPIRE has completed Deliverable 3.1, a report on the profiling of pilot territories, developed under Work Package 3 and led by Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). The report supports the preparation of engagement and co-creation activities in seven pilot areas across Europe.

The profiling was carried out with contributions from pilot partners and local stakeholders and focuses on the territorial context of each of the seven pilot areas. It covers key aspects such as vulnerable groups, socio-economic and demographic characteristics, institutional settings and local ecosystems relevant to social inclusion and the social economy.

The exercise was conducted between 2025 and 2026 and includes pilot territories in France, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, representing a range of rural, mountainous, island and peripheral contexts.

The findings will be used internally to support the planning of engagement approaches and local activities in the next phase of the project, including the establishment and testing of Smart Village Labs in cooperation with local communities. As the report contains sensitive local information, it is for internal project use only.
